Bihar CM recommends CBI investigation into Sushant’s death

After an exhausting turf war between Mumbai and Bihar Police, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Tuesday said the government has sent a recommendation for a CBI probe in actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case. The development came after the actor’s father spoke to the Bihar DGP and gave his consent for a CBI probe. Demand for a CBI probe was arising from various fragments with the Bihar Vidhan Sabha also witnessing a heated discussion with LJP president Chirag Paswan requesting the CM to handover the matter to the central agency. Moments after the matter was handed over to the CBI the family members expressed their satisfaction. Neeraj Bablu, the cousin of Sushant Singh Rajput, talking exclusively to The Daily Guardian, said, “We never had faith in the Mumbai Police. Right from the beginning they had no intention to get to the culprits in the case. What were they doing all these days? There has been a deep-rooted conspiracy in the case. Large sum of money was transferred from his account and the police did not even care to look into it. We had complained of a threat on Sushant’s life in February as well but the Mumbai police did not act. Now that the matter has been handed over to the CBI I am very thankful to the Chief Minister of Bihar and am sure the guilty will be punished.”

He added that Rhea Chakraborty was a cog in the wheel and there were other big names behind her who plotted to “eliminate Sushant”. The leader of opposition Tejashwi Yadav on the other hand said that “CBI probe should take place and be monitored by a court to ensure that the investigations are properly done”. “The CBI has plenty of cases and I doubt that this case may meet the same fate as of Navruna and also Muzaffarpur house of horror case. I also want that the CM should name the film city being built in Rajgir after Sushant,” Tejashwi said talking to The Daily Guardian.

The state DGP on the other hand said that all the details of the outcome of the investigations conducted by the Bihar police would be submitted to the CBI. The Bihar police have already interrogated over 10 people associated with Sushant Singh Rajput.
