A video of the ‘Crystal Hall’, a glass house in Bengaluru, has been making rounds on the internet for its brilliant architectural design. It is a 30-foot tall, two-storey house situated in Angalapura and is the brainchild of architect Thomas Abraham. The property was recently toured and captured by content creator Priyam Saraswat in an enchanting video wherein Abraham spoke about the green building design.

Crystal Hall measures an impressive 850 square meters and is surrounded by thriving orchards and woods, which create a living ecosystem for local wildlife. The house is the epitome of sustainable living with its windmill towers, generating backup power and feeding the excess back into the grid.

The house is a fusion of innovation and nature in its design. It uses double-layered, high-performance glass, which ensures that it has excellent thermal insulation, thereby reducing artificial heating or cooling. Among the many striking features highlighted in the video are a well-like swimming pool, grand gallery, lion sculpture inspired by ‘The Chronicles of Narnia’, sunken living room, and a terrace that provides a panoramic view. Inside are the dining and bedroom sections, which combine functionality and aesthetic appeal.
