Indian Air Force Chief Air Chief Marshal VR Chaudhari said power will play a vital role in predicting the outcome of conflict in the future. “There’s no doubt that in any future conflict anywhere in the globe, air power will play a very vital and critical role in deciding the outcomes of the conflict. Such exercises (Garuda) give us the opportunity to hone our skills,” the IAF chief said.

He said that the Garuda exercise will help improve the interoperability between the Indian and French ir Force.

“We have learned how to carry forward our interoperability. French Air Force also flies Rafale, we also fly Rafale, but we fly many other aircraft along with Rafale. It’s important to learn how to interoperate with friendly nations,” he said.

French twin-engine, multi-role fighter aircraft Rafale was developed and produced by Dassault Aviation.
Garuda is an exercise that offers the chance to expose Indian pilots and crew to the greatest equipment of the French Air & Space Force (FASF) and vice versa, according to the IAF head.
IAF and FASF are taking part in the joint exercise “Garuda VI” near Jodhpur.

Gen Stephane Mille, the commander of the French Air and Space Force, discussed the Garuda exercise and stated, “To fly in tandem with Indian airmen, we are here. Sometimes a small action can accomplish a lot. We are able to communicate with one another during the flight thanks to this activity. The ability to fly and work as a team is crucial.”

The “Garuda VII” exercise, which included numerous combat aircraft like the Rafale, Tejas, Jaguar, and Sukhoi-30s, started on October 26 and will end on November 12.
