The Jan Parivartan Yatra, which commenced from the Jodhpur region, was flagged off on Monday by Central Defense Minister Rajnath Singh. Addressing a massive public gathering on the occasion, he asserted that the Congress government had ruled the country for an extended period, during which it had thoroughly looted the nation. He pointed out that some of those responsible for this plunder were still in power.
Rajnath Singh highlighted that during the tenure of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government in Rajasthan, the state had made significant progress. However, in the past five years, Rajasthan had regrettably earned the dubious distinction of being the number one state in crimes against women, including rape, and corruption.
Furthermore, Rajnath Singh called on opposition parties to come together and work for the country’s development under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He emphasized that India, under PM Modi’s leadership, was advancing rapidly, even making strides in space exploration, symbolized by missions to Mars, the Moon, and now the Sun. He said, “The world was looking at India with hope and admiration.”
Former Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje, addressing the assembled crowd, criticized the deteriorating law and order situation in Rajasthan. She expressed shame over the state’s leading position in crimes against women and accused members of the current government of being involved in corruption scandals. She highlighted the decline in the pilgrimage route constructed during her tenure.
