In a 30-hour military operation, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) reported the elimination of 12 terrorists, the arrest of over ten wanted individuals, and the destruction of dozens of explosives in Jenin and Tulkarm. The operation, conducted in collaboration with the Border Police and the Shin Bet (Israel’s General Security Service), also led to the confiscation of various weapons.
The IDF deployed combat engineers, paratroopers, and the Duvdevan special forces unit for the operation. Five terrorists, including Muhammad Jaber, also known as “Abu Shahja’a,” the leader of terrorist activity in Nur Shams, were killed during a firefight while hiding in a mosque in Tulkarm.
Duvdevan fighters, guided by the Shin Bet, discovered an explosives laboratory and an operations center inside the mosque using a drone.
During the operation, one IDF soldier sustained moderate injuries, and another was lightly wounded. Both soldiers were evacuated to a hospital for medical treatment, and their families have been informed.
