24px), 720px\" data-pin-media=\"https:\/\/subconsciousservant.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/3rd-Images-Post-2-2.jpg\" id=\"mv-trellis-img-2\" data-trellis-processed=\"1\"><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\">Everyone has a dark side, but not everyone has the same characteristics as a dark empath. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\">It is said that about one-fifth of the world's population are dark empaths.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\">But, it may simply be that some people show their dark sides more than others, and they are not truly dark empaths.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\">Let's take a look at the seven main dark empath traits and characteristics. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\">Keep in mind that everyone has some of these traits, and not everyone who has a couple of the traits are not necessarily dark empaths. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\">If they have three or more of the traits, then it is quite likely that they are indeed dark empaths.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\" wp-block-heading eplus-wrapper\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"1_Dark_Empaths_are_Extroverts_who_Exploit_Others\"><\/span>1. Dark Empaths are Extroverts who Exploit Others<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\">The dark empath is a very social type of person. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\">They have what is known as open behavior, and have great social skills.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\">A dark empath is not one to shy away from letting people know what they think, even if it sounds mean or hateful. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\">They will openly express their views of others, no matter what anyone thinks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\">This is not a person who is going to be a pushover. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\">Rather, their dark characteristics cause them to be the ones who push others around.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\">When most of us think about empathy, we think of people who are kind and caring, and who take on the emotions of others. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\">A dark empath has what is described as cognitive empathy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\">Basically, this means that they are able to socialize and understand how others feel. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\">But, instead of being understanding, they exploit these feelings in others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\">A dark empath can easily express their inner thoughts, thanks to their exceptional social skills. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\">They often explain their perspectives, at length, just to hear themselves talk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\">But, not all extroverts can be characterized as dark empaths. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\">It isn't a good idea to wonder about friends who are extroverts. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\">Chances are they aren't actually dark empaths at all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\">On the other hand, if you know people who are extroverted, and who will jump at any chance to manipulate others, it is a good sign that they may be dark empaths.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\" wp-block-heading eplus-wrapper\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"2_Dark_Empaths_Have_a_Thirst_for_Power\"><\/span>2.
