Worried Of Manifesting Your Negative Thoughts? Understand This

Worried Of Manifesting Your Negative Thoughts? Understand This

Are you bothered by your negative thoughts?  Are you worried that via the Law of Attraction, you are going to invite more negativity into your life?  More of what you don’t want?

If that sounds like you, you are right to be concerned.  But the good news is that with a little effort and concentration, you can turn things around.

“The purpose of our lives is to be happy,” said the Dalai Lama.

He’s right, of course, but it’s easy to forget that when we are depressed, have no money, live in a dive, have a non-existent love life, and are stuck in a dead-end job with no light at the end of the tunnel.

There’s no way out, right?  Wrong!

With positive thoughts, actions, and affirmations we can use the Law of Attraction to bring us greater abundance and happiness: more money, a new job or relationship, better health and so on.

But the Law works both ways. By focussing too strongly on what we don’t want, and on everything that is wrong in our lives, we risk attracting more of the same.

The Universe may indeed respond to your negative thoughts by manifesting more negative things.

It’s important to understand that, and also that the Universe may be sending you a message that you need to change.

But it’s even more important to realize that you can use that same universal energy to your advantage and benefit.

Here’s how!

The Positive Side Of Worrying About Your Negative Thoughts

Strange as it might seem, being worried about your negative thoughts is actually a hugely positive thing.  It means that at least you are aware of what you are thinking.

Many people lack that awareness. They are blissfully ignorant not only of their negative thoughts but also of the unwanted consequences and dangers of such thought patterns.

So give yourself a pat on the back.  At least you are aware of what you are thinking.  That gives you a head start.  And better still, you know that in order for things to change, you have to do something about those negative thoughts.

Changing your negative thought patterns to positive ones can be tough.

It’s really hard work to undo years of bad habits, negative thinking, and ingrained conditioning. But it can be done, and the potentially limitless rewards make it well worth the effort.

What’s more, there are many simple yet effective tips and techniques that can help you on your journey.

So let’s start by explaining how the Law of Attraction works, and then look at some of the practical methods you can use to banish all those negative thoughts, fears, and worries.

The Law Of Attraction Is A Two Way Street

The Law of Attraction states that what you give out, you receive back

If you radiate joy, positivity, and abundance, the Universe hears you and responds with more of the same.

But the Law of Attraction is a two-way street.

If you send out vibrations of negativity, misery, and poverty, the Universe will assume that that is what you want, and will respond in kind.

To some people, that might sound like a trite over-simplification. But if you’ve never really thought about the Law of Attraction and how it works, maybe it’s time you changed your tune.

Park your skepticism for once and give it a try – the results might just astound you!

When we use the Law of Attraction – through positive thoughts, affirmations, a vision board, scripting, or meditation – we tap into the amazing power of the universal consciousness.

It is this power that connects us to everyone and everything in the Universe.  However, we need to tread carefully, as this power can be a double-edged sword.

Do you remember when you fell in love for the first time?

The whole world seemed rosy, people around us were infinitely positive, and good things and good luck seemed to follow us around.

The reason?  The Universe responded to your positive vibration!

And then when you lost your job, the Universe seemed to kick you when you were down.

A grim procession of money troubles, relationship issues, bad luck, depression, and miserable people were attracted to you like iron filings to a magnet.

Is it possible that the Universe was responding to your own negative mood and vibration?

For those who understand the Law of Attraction, the answer to that question is a resounding YES!

So what can you do if you are worried about manifesting your negative thoughts?

The first step to a better world is to focus on what you do want, not on what you don’t want or don’t have.

Stop worrying about what might happen, and start concentrating on positive scenarios.

Why Worry Really Is The Most Useless Emotion

Worrying is one of the most counterproductive emotions we possess.  Typically, it is completely unwarranted, because we worry about something that never happens.

Sometimes, worrying can even make us feel worse than the actual circumstance we are worrying about. And always it is negative, creating and deepening bad feelings.

For the most part, the same is true of emotions like anxiety and fear.

Occasionally these are useful emotions.  But more often than not, they serve no purpose, other than to make us feel worse.

If you consciously or unconsciously choose to worry, it can affect your health.

Your breathing becomes blocked, making your heart work harder and raising your blood pressure.

The increased blood flow puts more pressure on your kidneys because they have more blood to filter.

Your negative thoughts create a downward spiral that is detrimental to your health and wellbeing.

Inner peace is the polar opposite of worry, anxiety and fear.  You can choose to feel worried, anxious and fearful.  Or you can choose inner peace.

It’s up to you which path you follow … but it’s not a difficult choice to make!

When you get up in the morning, consciously choose to start your day positively, breathing deeply and decluttering any negative thoughts from your mind.

Consciously breathe the life force into your whole body and feel it in every cell.

Your mind starts to say “Thank you for letting off the pressure” and your whole body says “Thanks for the blood flow and positive energy to every cell from head to toe.”

Then add some affirmations to say to yourself regularly throughout the day:

“I feel inner peace. All is well in my world”

“I live in the moment and enjoy my day.”

“I am healthy and my body cells feel it.”

Before too long, you will experience an inner peace that no amount of money can buy. Just working with your true self can give you better health and a genuine feeling of being connected.

Put A Smile Into Your Thoughts

In my family, we have a famous photograph of my mum with her two older sisters when they were very young.

The middle sister and my mum are smiling innocently, whilst the big sister has clearly been crying and has a grotesque, grimaced grin on her face.  In the old family album, this photo was entitled: “Smile.”

The big sister had been told to smile, and she was doing just that – but without any enthusiasm, passion or feeling.

It’s no use trying to be positive if you are feeling negative. So when you are using the Law of Attraction, make sure you are in the right frame of mind.

Always put a smile into your thoughts. And make gratitude your attitude.

And how do you do that?

It’s as simple as doing something that puts you in a good mood.  That might be dancing, singing, exercising, meditation, going for a walk in nature, or listening to high vibration music.

The Power Of The Subconscious Mind

the mind and manifesting negative thoughts

Do you ever hear yourself expressing a belief about something, and then later, on reflection, think “ that wasn’t the real me speaking! where on earth did that come from?

The answer to that question is that those thoughts and those beliefs came from your subconscious.

Our subconscious mind has incredible power over us, especially if we never think about it or question it.

Many of our beliefs have been conditioned into us by those we love and respect: parents, grandparents, teachers, preachers, and so on.  But that doesn’t necessarily make those beliefs correct.

And if they no longer serve us, it’s time to let them go and replace them with ones that work in our favor.

But how do you change those subconscious beliefs?

Let’s say you were brought up in poverty.  That may mean you have a great fear of never having enough, and always dwell on a lack of money.  You may not even be aware that you hold such beliefs.

As ever, the way to dissolve such unwanted thoughts is to be aware of them, let them go, and replace them with positive alternatives.

Compare the vibration of “I am worried about not having enough money” to “I am grateful for all the good things in my life and live happily with what I have.  I welcome all forms of abundance into my life.

Changing entrenched beliefs can take time, so take your time, and focus on what you have achieved, not on what is left to do.

Positive progress is usually incremental, not overnight!

No Thoughts Are Better Than Negative Thoughts

Sometimes, no matter how good our intentions, and no matter how hard we try, it proves impossible to replace negative thoughts with positive ones.

And that’s OK. Old habits die hard.

Just be kind and gentle with yourself, and accept that there will be a few bumps on the road.

On those occasions where you can’t think positively, the next best thing is to think nothing at all.  Just stepping off the exhausting hamster wheel of never-ending thoughts is a great relief.

Distract yourself by doing something that requires your attention, like sewing or cooking, or better still, meditate.

Another technique that works well for many people is to write down all your negative thoughts.

Set down as much as you have to.  Once you’ve got everything down on paper and out of your system, throw the paper on the fire and burn it.  As you watch the flames burn, repeat to yourself something like:

”I easily let go of these old thoughts and situations that no longer serve me, and focus on new and positive thought patterns.”

On your computer, when you have a file you don’t need any more, what do you do?

You move it to the recycle bin, then press delete to empty it. Why not use the same technique to deal with your unwanted negative thoughts?

Visualize putting them into the bin in your mind, and then press delete: it might sound silly, but it’s actually an incredibly satisfying exercise!

Whatever technique you use, the most important thing is to develop an awareness of your thoughts.

It also helps to learn what things trigger your negative thoughts –  certain people? … the news?  … when you’re bored? – and then to avoid those situations.

When you feel the negativity coming on, nip those bad thoughts in the bud, and consciously delete them before they take hold.

Believe It, Feel It, Receive It: You Are Worth It

a woman connecting to heart so she doesn't manifest her negative thoughts

Instead of being worried about manifesting your negative thoughts, why not do the opposite?  Send out positive vibrations, and use the Law of Attraction to bring good things to you.

For that to happen, you need to do three things.

  • First, you must reduce, release, and banish any negative thoughts.
  • Then you must focus on the positive things that you want in your life.
  • And finally, you must buy into the whole process: believe it and feel it, in order to receive it.

Never forget that you are worth it!

Eight Actions To Help Stop Your Negative Thought Worries

1. Surround Yourself With Positive People

Surround yourself with the sort of people who brighten up a room when they enter it.  Their good vibration will rub off on you.

2. Avoid Negative People

Some individuals have a rare talent for bringing everyone down.  If you know people like that, avoid them like the plague.

Don’t let them get to you.  Ditch the moaners and groaners, or if you have to see them, dazzle them with your positivity, happiness, and upbeat attitude.

3. Stop Overanalyzing

Overanalyzing is paralyzing! For once, stop overthinking everything, and follow your heart rather than your head. A racing mind will tire you out, so give it a rest!

Meditation is one of the best techniques (if not the best!) to use if you are worried about manifesting your negative thoughts.

4. Try Meditation

It will give your weary mind a rest, give you space to think more clearly and positively, and lead you to inner peace.

5. Be Kind To Yourself

Some people actually feel bad about feeling good.  Don’t be one of them. Instead, consciously praise yourself, and actively encourage and allow positivity into your very being.  Tell yourself often: “I am worth it!

6. Breathe!

Few of us know how to breathe properly, but once you do, the benefits can be almost miraculous.

Often a few deep, mindful breaths can calm a troubled mind and situation.

7. Find What Works For You

Not everything works for everybody.  So try the different techniques described here, and use the ones that work for you.

It may take time and practice, but the potential rewards are boundless.

8. Forgive, Even If You Can’t Forget

You may not be able to forget, but you can forgive.

Don’t let your past define your future.  Let go of past hurts and wrongs, live in the moment, and move forward in the knowledge that you are a beautiful soul.
