Performed by Magician Matt Beech in the Long Room at Soulton Hall in Wem on the Winter Solstice, this performance tells an origin story of Prospero hinted at in the Bard’s work. In Act 5 of The Tempest, King Alonso marvels at the strange events unfolding around him, prompting Prospero to promise an enlightening revelation in due course.

Now, “Prospero’s Magic Show” fulfills that promise, unveiling the secrets of Prospero’s remarkable life on the isle, leading up to the magic he performed in The Tempest. Join the King’s court and watch as Prospero tells his tale and reveals his secrets.
