Surah Al-Bayyinah PDF is the 98th chapter of the Quran. Meaning of Surah
This amazing surah Al-Bayyinah pdf catches its name from its first verse; the word “Al-Bayyinah” means “the clear evidence” or “the proof.”
Short Surah of the Holy Quran
Like Surah Qadr, Surah Al-Bayyinah is one of the shortest surahs of the Holy Quran, comprised of only 8 verses, 94 words, and 404 letters. This gleeful surah opens up with the statement that the people of the book(Jews and Christians) will persist in their ignorance until clear proof comes to them. This clear evidence points towards the Holy Quran, the prominent source of the ultimate guidance for humanity.

Verse 1
“The disbelievers from the People of the Book and the polytheists were not going to desist ˹from disbelief˺ until the clear proof came to them.”
In the first verse in surah Al Bayyinah PDF, Allah discusses the attitudes and thinking of the people of the book towards the Holy Quran and the messenger of Allah. The word “Bayyinah” signifies clarity and proof, and it is used in the Quran to refer to the proofs and arguments presented to establish the truth of Islam.
Verse 2
“a messenger from Allah, reciting scrolls of ˹utmost˺ purity”
In the second verse of this fantastic surah, Allah addresses the people of the book (Jews and Christians) and tells them that all the commands and teachings that Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) preached to them is from the Holy book, not from himself. So, people of the book should accept the instructions that the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) told them as these are purely from Allah for their benefit to save them from the torment of hell in the world hereafter. The same things Allah has describes in Holy Quran as:
“In Records held in honor. Exalted, purified, in the hands of scribes (angels). Honorable and obedient”.
(80:13-16)
Verse 3
“containing upright commandments.”
In the 3rd verse of this fantastic surah, Allah describes the attributes of the Holy book Quran. The Holy book Quran is from Allah; HE has sent this blissful book for the guidance of humankind upcoming the end of this world. This Holy book is complete in itself and has no mistakes. It contains incredible messages, commands, warnings, good news, and guidance that Allah wanted HIS human beings to know.
Verse 4
“It was not until this clear proof came to the People of the Book that they became divided ˹about his prophethood˺
In the fourth verse of surah Al-Bayyinah pdf, Allah explains clearly that the difference only occurred when knowledge came. Allah has said the same things to all humankind at another place in the Holy Quran as
“ (And be not as those who divided and differed among themselves after the Bayyinat came to them. It is they for whom there is an awful torment.)”
(3:105)
Verse 5
“even though they were only commanded to worship Allah ˹alone˺ with sincere devotion to Him in all uprightness, establish prayer, and pay alms-tax. That is a good Way.”
In the fifth verse of this blissful surah, Allah teaches us that the people of the book were commanded and emphasized to worship only Allah with a sincere heart and strongly believe in His oneness. They were asked to establish prayer and pay alms tax. The only way to succeed in both worlds is to follow the path Allah and His Holy Prophet Muhammad(PBUH) recommended.
Verse 6
“Indeed, those who disbelieve from the People of the Book and the polytheists will be in the Fire of Hell, to stay there forever. They are the worst of ˹all˺ beings.”
In the 6th verse of the surah Al-Bayyinah pdf, Allah strongly condemns those who are disbelievers and reject the messages of Allah and His messengers. Allah warns those people that people of the book who don’t believe in Allah’s oneness and His existence will be sent to Hell on the day of judgment.
These people are the worst of all beings, and they will not get any grace from Allah in this world or the world hereafter. Disbelievers will be in Hell forever and will not find any way to escape it.
Verse 7
“Indeed, those who believe and do good are the best of ˹all˺ beings.”
In the 7th verse of the surah Al-Bayyinah pdf, Allah discusses the people who have great faith in Allah’s existence and oneness and do good deeds. Allah says that these people are indeed among the best of all creations. These righteous people will have Allah’s support in both worlds, and He will shower His countless blessing upon them.
Verse 8
“Their reward with their Lord will be Gardens of Eternity, under which rivers flow, to stay there forever. Allah is pleased with them, and they are pleased with Him. This is ˹only˺ for those in awe of their Lord.”
The final verse of this beautiful surah is even more beautiful and appealing to the people who strongly believe in Allah and His justice. In this verse, Allah explains that the reward of believers is huge and final, and they will be sent to paradise, where they will find an abundance of Allah’s blessings.
Allah says in surah Al-Furqan
“The companions of paradise that day are in a better settlement and better resting place.”
Another appealing verse of the Holy Quran states;
“Those who attain faith and do righteous deeds, the gardens of the paradise will be there to welcome them.”

Hadith About the Surah Bayyinah
Anas ibn Mālik (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allah (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) said to Ubay ibn Ka‘b (may Allah be pleased with him):
“Allah, the Almighty, ordered me to read to you {Those who disbelieve among the People of the Book and the Polytheists were not going to depart (from their ways) until there should come to them the Clear Evidence.}”
