Venugopal, Congress president Sonia Gandhi has appointed Raghu Sharma in charge of the All India Congress Committee for Daman and Diu and Dadra Nagar Haveli along with Gujarat. Dr. Raghu Sharma is currently serving as the Health Minister of the Rajasthan Government. He is an MLA from Kekri of Ajmer district. Former Gujarat Congress in-charge and Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot is considered very close. The post of Gujarat in-charge remained vacant as Rajiv Satav, who was in charge of the Congress, died due to corona. There has been speculation on many names for a long time but finally the Congress has announced the in charge of Gujarat.
