One of Zirakpur flyovers would be made functional by the coming January, said, Deputy Commissioner, Aashika Jain, here, today. She was reviewing the progress of ongoing NHAI projects in the district of SAS Nagar. She insisted upon expediting the disbursement besides speeding up awards for the pending acquisition.
Responding to the request of NHAI officials on clearing illegal parking on NHAI roads in Ziarkpur, she assured to take up the matter with district police to redress the issue at the earliest possible. The Deputy Commissioner said that the construction of IT City-Kurali Chandigarh road, NH-205-A is in full swing and the work would be near completion by November next year. She asked the District Revenue Officer to expedite the pending compensation related to the tubewells and structures.
She said that disbursement of Rs 132 Crore has been done out of 151.86 Crore while awards for Bhago Majra and Raipur Kalan would be announced shortly to complete the process of Sirhind-Mohali NH-205-AG road.
Discussing Ambala-Chandigarh Green field’s SAS Nagar part, she said that the disbursement of compensation for Rs 515 Crore was done out of a total of 643 Crore. She asked the officials to expedite the disbursement of compensation for phase-2 acquisition besides verification of 3A notification of missing plots. The NHAI officials apprised the DC that possession of 18.5 acres has been taken out of 26 KM.
The Deputy Commissioner ordered to hold a review meeting every Friday to expedite the pendency of the NHAI roads. The Officers who attended the meeting included ADC (G) Viraj s Tidke, NHAI PD Pardeep Atry, SDM Mohali Chandrajyoti Singh, and District Revenue Officer Amandeep Chawla.
