On Sunday, Govind Ballabh Pant, a former chief minister of Uttar Pradesh and a union minister, received tributes from Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in honor of his birthday. Ballabh Pant, who served as Uttar Pradesh’s first chief minister, laid the state’s foundation, according to Yogi Adityanath, who later said this while addressing the media here. “Today is Govind Ballabh Pant’s birthday, and on behalf of the state and its citizens, I pay my respects to a great freedom fighter who was instrumental in the country’s independence during his college years.
He laid the foundation of the state of Uttar Pradesh,” CM Yogi said after paying flower tribute to Pant at Lok Bhawan in Lucknow.
He also lauded the service of Ballabh Pant as Union Home Minister and the CM of Uttar Pradesh.
September 10 is marked the birth anniversary of Pandit Govind Ballabh Pant who was an Indian freedom fighter. He played a key role in India’s independence movement and later was a pivotal figure in the Indian Government.
Pant became the first Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister in 1950.
Pandit Govind Ballabh Pant, a pillar of the Congress party and a key figure in India’s freedom struggle, served as the state’s first chief minister and is credited with establishing a stable government and fostering communal harmony in the years following India’s independence. Notably, the zamindari system was abolished in Uttar Pradesh under the leadership of Pant. When Jawaharlal Nehru served as the nation’s prime minister in January 1955, Pant took his oath of office as the Union Home Minister.
