IBM, the world’s leading IT Company, will set up a state-of-the-art software lab in Ahmedabad. The lab will be launched in Ahmedabad as a state-of-the-art product engineering, design, and development center with state-of-the-art facilities. The announcement was made during a meeting between Chief Minister Vijay Rupani and IBM-India Managing Director Sandeep Patel and IBM Software Lab Vice-President Gaurav Sharma in Gandhinagar.
Welcoming the announcement of IBM’s Center, Chief Minister Vijay Rupani said that since Prime Minister Narendra Modi was the Chief Minister of Gujarat, a healthy and friendly environment has been created for investment in the technology sector including FDI and IT sector as a policy-driven state. Not only that, the start of sector universities in Gujarat and the scope of iCreat, startup innovation has also increased and the youth are getting advanced knowledge-research opportunities.
Vijay Rupani also told IBM’s Managing Director, Sandeep Patel, that there is skilled manpower and an abundant talent pool available in Gujarat, which will benefit IBM. He said that in the lead that Gujarat has taken in realizing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of a digital India, IBM’s new functioning center would be instrumental in transforming the entire ecosystem of the IT, ITES sector in the state.He hoped that the center would create new employment opportunities for the youth of the state and also develop world-class skills development capabilities in the field of digital technology.
