Elon Musk recently met with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Washington, accompanied by his partner, Shivon Zilis, and their children, Azure and Strider (twins). Additionally, Musk’s child X, from his previous relationship with Grimes, was present at the meeting at Blair House. This marks Zilis’ second public appearance with Musk in just six months.

Who is Shivon Zilis?

Shivon Zilis, 39, was born in Canada and graduated from Yale University. Her mother, Sharda N, is of Indian descent, and her father, Richard Zilis, is Canadian. Currently, Zilis works as the Director of Operations and Special Projects at Neuralink. Prior to that, she served as a project director at Tesla from 2017 to 2019. Furthermore, Zilis has advised Sam Altman’s OpenAI and was part of Bloomberg Beta’s founding investment team.

In 2015, she was listed in Forbes’ 30 Under 30 for venture capitalists and later in LinkedIn’s 35 Under 35 list. Despite her impressive career, she has largely kept a low profile in the media. Zilis and Musk welcomed twins, Azure and Strider, in 2021, and later had a third child in 2024. While the couple has not publicly acknowledged their relationship, it is reported that Zilis has moved into Musk’s Texas compound, where he raises his 11 children.

PM Modi met with Musk just hours before his meeting with President Trump at the White House. The two leaders discussed various crucial topics, such as space exploration, technology, and mobility. Additionally, they focused on strengthening India-U.S. collaboration in artificial intelligence, innovation, and emerging technologies.

Following their meeting, PM Modi presented Musk’s children with three books: The Crescent Moon by Rabindranath Tagore, The Great RK Narayan Collection, and Panchatantra by Vishnu Sharma. PM Modi later shared photos on social media of Musk’s children reading the books, commenting, “It was also a delight to meet Mr. Elon Musk’s family and to talk about a wide range of subjects.”
