Viral Video Of Tulsi Gabbard Singing ‘Hare Krishna’ Bhajan Debunked: Here’s The Truth | Watch

A video of Tulsi Gabbard, a former US Congresswoman and Donald Trump’s pick for Director of National Intelligence, has gone viral on social media. In the clip, Gabbard is seen singing the “Hare Krishna” bhajan, sparking claims that it was recorded just before Trump’s cabinet announcement.

However, the video is from September 2016, when Gabbard participated in an event celebrating the 50th anniversary of ISKCON. The footage was first uploaded to the “ISKCON News” YouTube channel on September 16, 2016, following a ceremony held on September 13, where Gabbard was the main speaker and sang the “Hare Krishna” bhajan.

Despite its outdated origin, the video has been shared with misleading captions, such as one by Sunita Singh, who wrote, “Just two days ago, Tulsi Gabbard was singing the Maha Mantra on the 50th anniversary of ISKCON.” She added claims about Gabbard being previously listed as a “Secret terror list” member by Biden, further connecting her to Trump’s recent announcement.

PTI verified the original upload date and confirmed that the video predates Trump’s cabinet decision. Many social media users have praised Gabbard, calling her “the most respected and articulate Hindu in American politics,” while others lauded her for preserving her cultural roots.

On November 13, Trump officially announced Gabbard as his pick for Director of National Intelligence, praising her for her “fearless spirit” and “illustrious career.” He remarked, “Tulsi will bring the fearless spirit that has defined her illustrious career to our intelligence community, championing our constitutional rights and securing peace through strength.”
