A plane crash of catastrophic nature took place at Dartmouth in Massachusetts with Thomas Perkins, aged sixty-eight years and Agatha Perkins, aged sixty-six years, dead. The couple who were occupants of a small private aircraft, resided in Middleton, Rhode Island the crash left the local community aghast and heightened considerations about the cause of the crash.
Thomas and Agatha Perkins is well-knowing individuals in their local Rhode Island community with deep sadness engendered by their passing was felt throughout the Aquidneck Island area that they called home. For their generous and spirited contribution to society, Tom and Aggie Perkins seem immortal in their minds.
Identification of the bodies was confirmed by authorities after their recovery from the wreckage with first responders having pronounced them dead in the crash scene. Their departure came as a shock to their family, friends and neighbors.

The aircraft involved was identified as a Socata TBM 700, which is a single engine fixed-wing plane. The crash occurred seconds away from I-95 in Dartmouth minutes after departing from New Bedford Airport, the plane crashed at around 8:00 AM on Monday morning.
Enroute to Wisconsin, the plane was expected to reach by midday. On contact, the aircraft caught fire which caused an inferno on the highway with traffic rising. One vehicle on the interstate was hit during the crash and resulting in an injury to one person. Emergency responders were called to control the blaze and render assistance.

Investigators are still unable to ascertain what facilitated this tragic crash with the NTSB is on the case together with the Federal Aviation Administration. According to the initial report, adverse weather conditions were raised, as strong winds with rain affected the area during departure.
The Massachusetts State Police suggested the plane may have attempted to return to the airport minutes after taking off. The FAA nor the NTSB have confirmed an official stance linking the weather to this tragedy. Evidence is being collected and witnesses being interviewed to recreate the moments leading to the unfortunate crash.
