White House is said to be negotiating with several top-notch universities as it moves to mete out punishment amid concerns over antisemitism, a Wall Street Journal report says.
A person familiar with the situation informed the WSJ that the Biden administration is in negotiations with institutions like Cornell, Duke, Northwestern, and Brown. Nevertheless, the administration seems to be most concerned about settling with Harvard, which it considers a top priority.
The report states that these talks are part of a larger initiative to combat campus antisemitism and hold the universities responsible for the way they handle related incidents.
