US President Donald Trump underwent his routine yearly physical at Walter Reed Medical Center, six months after his last examination. At 79, Trump is the oldest president in US history. His health has remained under scrutiny since he assumed office, especially because he criticized former President Joe Biden’s health during the election campaign, projecting himself as younger and fitter.
Within his first eight months in office, Trump was diagnosed with chronic venous insufficiency, causing swelling in his lower legs. Observers also noted unusual marks on his hands, and critics have speculated about dementia.

Previous Health Reports
In April, Trump’s White House-released memo noted he was 6 feet 3 inches tall and weighed 224 pounds. It described him as robust and praised his golf skills while noting that his high cholesterol was well controlled.
By July, images of Trump with swollen ankles and bruising on his right hand prompted further clarification. Barbabella explained the swelling was caused by chronic venous insufficiency, a common and generally non-serious condition in people over 70. The bruising was attributed to minor soft tissue irritation, likely from frequent handshakes and regular aspirin use for cardiovascular prevention.
