No one has been a better press secretary than Karoline Leavitt, according to President Donald Trump, who has praised his White official, saying she has become a star in her current role. The president went on to say that he loves her face, her intelligence, and “the way her lips move.”
In an Interview with Newsmax presenter Rob Finnerty on Friday night, Donald Trump talks naughtily about his press secretary, Karoline Leavitt: As far as he is concerned, she is possibly the best that ever existed. According to Trump, she has an intelligent, good look “face,” and most controversially, lips that move like unto a machine gun in motion.
Such remarks, meant to be praise, ignited immediate condemnation across social media and much of the media for being inappropriate and sexist in their focus on her physical characteristics.
Leavitt is only 27 years old, making her the youngest person ever to serve as White House Press Secretary. Trump produced her as brilliant, confident, and a star; he also claimed that no previous press secretary had performed as well. While others have praised her style and loyalty, however, the emphasis on her looks instead of on her skills has drawn sharp backlash.

The clip caught his remarks going viral on X (formerly Twitter), with netizens throwing snarky comments everywhere.

Critics have also linked this incident to the still-unfolding saga of Jeffrey Epstein. Leavitt has been combative about it, often declaring media reports to be a “hoax,” even going so far as to bar prominent news organizations from White House access at times. Her unorthodox behavior in that case really took off after Trump started commenting on her lips and face, raising speculation in journalistic circles that his praise was really intended to provoke.
Republican and conservative fans of Leavitt’s performance have always emphasized her vigor in style and communication. Fox news even described attempts by CNN to mock her “spinmeister” moniker as jealousy driven. But despite all these accomplishments, critics believe the phenomenon unearths a continuing scenario: women in prominent public roles have always been objectified, regardless of abilities.
“I think Todd went in just to make sure that innocent people aren’t hurt,” Trump continued. He maintained that he has not spoken to his deputy attorney general about Maxwell and that he is not sure whether the interview’s transcript would be released.
