A small plane collided with a parked aircraft at Montana’s Kalispell City Airport, causing a fire. Four people escaped, two had minor injuries; no serious casualties were reported.
A small aircraft was crashed into a parked plane in Kalispell City, Montana on Monday. The collision caused a massive fire, however, there are no serious injuries or any casualties reported.
According to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and Kalispell Police Chief Jordan Venezio, the Socata TBM 700 turboprop was carrying four people. When it tried to land around 2 pm, it collided with an unoccupied aircraft on the ground.
Klispell Fire Chief Jay Hagen said that the crash led to a massive fire that spread to the nearby grass, but it was put out quickly. He also said that there were multiple aircraft involved in the incident.

After the crash, the pilot and three passengers escaped the burning plane on their own just in time. Two passengers suffered minor injuries and got medical assistance at the airport.

Witnesses mentioned that they saw the plane heading from the South before it crashed at the runway's end. Manager of a nearby inn, Ron Danielson said that he heard and saw the plane before a layer of thick, black smoke arose in the air.
“It sounded like if you were to stick your head in a bass drum and somebody smacked it as hard as they could,” he said.

FAA records suggest that the plane was built in 2011. It is registered to Meter Sky LLC of Pullman, Washington. The organization has not released any statement yet.
