US president, Donald Trump’s administration, possibly use US military to target International terrorist organizations in Latin America as per US officials. Reportedly the Pentagon is being instructed to prepare related plans.
The administration, labelled Mexico, Sinaloa Cartel, drug gangs, Venezuela, Tran Di Agua criminal group as global terrorist organizations in February.
U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio explained, “It allows us to now target what they’re operating and to use other elements of American power, intelligence agencies, the Department of Defense, whatever…to target these groups if we have an opportunity to do it. We have to start treating them as armed terrorist organizations, not simply drug dealing organizations,” Rubio said.

A US official said that the president decision will allow the Navy to conduct operations at the sea, including drug interdiction missions. According to the DEA, more than 9 million large cargo containers and 157, 000 smaller vessels arrive, US every year. Some of them carry cocaine, heroine, methamphetamine, and marijuana.
What Possible Military Operations Could Include
The operations may also involve targeted raids. However, another official stated that the military action was not imminent and the exact nature of the mission is still uncertain.
The US military has enhanced airborne surveillance over the Mexico city together, intelligence over cartel activities and plan with well thought responses.
Mexico Rules Out Invasion
On the other hand, Mexican president, Claudia Sheinbaum asserted that there will be no military intervention inside the Mexico City.
Trump has criticized Mexico several times for being unable to stop cocaine from entering the United States.

This decision has ignited online debate. Some believe that US forces combating quarters would be considered aggression or a special military operation while others firmly believes that Mexico is a ‘Narco state’.
