Roblox’s popular farming simulator Grow a Garden just got a major expansion with its Trading and Cooking Event Update, launched on Saturday, August 2. As per IGN, the update introduces a brand-new trading system, a cooking event led by NPC Chris P. Bacon, new pets, cosmetics, special event rewards, and more gameplay opportunities. Leading up to this release, players enjoyed a variety of admin-led mini-events including Volcano, Pool Party! and others that created excitement before the full update dropped. The new additions are already reshaping how players interact, trade, cook, and grow their gardens.
Cooking with Chris P. Bacon
The main highlight of the update is the Chris P. Bacon Cooking Event. In this, players can cook a range of dishes using fruits and plants from their garden. They must add ingredients to the Cooking Pot and present the final dish to Chris P., the iconic pig NPC.
The size and rarity of the dish determines the type of reward players receive. Cravings change every hour, and players need to discover exact recipes through experimentation. This adds a strategic challenge to the gameplay, encouraging players to collect diverse ingredients and cook efficiently.
Among the new rewards that players can get are the Gourmet Seed Pack, Gourmet Egg, Food Crate, Pet Shard Fried, Mochi Mouse, Artichoke and Fork Fence.

New Cosmetics and Pets
Besides this, the makers have also introduced new cosmetics. One of the rewards that players will get from Chris P. Bacon is the Food Crate. It will include Pink Cake, Blue Cake, Coffee Machine, Banana Hammock, Hotdog Cart, Cheese Mat, and Golden Hotdog Statue.
Also, there have been several new pets added to the game. After feeding Chris P, players get the new Gourmet Egg, which features Bagel Bunny, Pancake Mole, Sushi Bear, Spaghetti Sloth, and French Fry Ferret.
Trading System Launches
Grow a Garden now allows player-to-player trades using the newly introduced Trading Ticket system. To initiate a trade, players must first purchase a Trading Ticket from the Gear Stall. Each ticket costs 100,000 Sheckles, and only those with the ticket can engage in trades. This adds value to trading and controls spam, giving more meaning to interactions.
