US President’s former NSA advisor John Bolton addressed Tulsi Gabbard’s ‘treasonous conspiracy’ accusations against former U.S. President Barack Obama. He called the allegations “a campaign to save her job.”
There Is No Substance In Gabbard’s Accusations
Tulsi Gabbard came forward with accusations of a ‘treasonous conspiracy’ by the higher-ups in the Obama administration. In a thread posted on her X account, the Director of National Intelligence (DNI) shared information alleging an attempt to tarnish Donald Trump’s 2016 election. She alleged that there was Russian involvement in Trump’s victory over Hillary Clinton in 2016.
Addressing this, John Bolton said that the accusations have no substance and there is no need for the Justice Department to launch a criminal investigation, calling the DNI’s report “exaggerated.”
“She’s strung together a series of things that aren’t necessarily related, she’s exaggerated what actual congressional reports have said, she’s imagined evidence that doesn’t exist,” Bolton said when addressing the accusation.
Tulsi Gabbard Saved Her Job By Accusing the Obama Administration
In the lead-up to Tulsi Gabbard’s accusations, U.S. media were speculative reports that Trump is losing confidence in her. The former NSA also commented on the same, calling her declassification of the reports and the accusations a ‘campaign to save her job.’
“So, if anybody gets into it, it collapses pretty quickly. But as a campaign to save her job, I think it actually worked out pretty successfully for her,” he said.
Tulsi Gabbard Tried To Distract People From the Epstein Case?
Following the declassification of files, people started calling Gabbard’s move a distraction from Trump‘s suspected involvement in the Epstein case. When asked about this, Bolton expressed his lack of information on the effectiveness of the DNI’s accusations and emphasised the fact that there is no substance in her report.
“Whether it succeeded in distracting from the Jeffrey Epstein affair, I don’t know,” he said. “But there is, in substance, nothing to it and certainly no justification for the Justice Department to launch a criminal investigation,” he continued.
Barack Obama’s office also issued a response to the DNI’s accusation; in their statement, they called the accusations “bizarre,” “ridiculous,” and “a weak attempt at distraction.”
