In their post, the police department wrote, “Officers are investigating a shooting with multiple victims near Kirkland Ave NE and NE 18th St that occurred just after 7:30 pm. This is an active scene, so expect a heavy police presence. Please avoid the area. PIO is en route.”
Suspect Identified In Washington Shooting
A few hours after the initial post, at 10:56 PM local time, the Renton police department shared an update on the shooting. In their post, the police department shared that the suspect has been identified. However, the cause of the shooting is currently unknown.
It is unclear what led up to the shooting. The suspect has been identified but is still at large. The Washington State Patrol Crime Lab will be processing the scene. Case #25-6228

They also shared that the incident involved five people, three of whom—2 women and 1 young girl— were shot dead. The remaining two witnesses of the shooting were able to escape the scene successfully and reported the crime. According to the post, the victims knew their shooter and they had been socialising together.
UPDATE: 10:56 pm – Three people were shot and killed in this incident – two women and a young girl. Two other witnesses were able to escape the home and call the police. They told detectives that the suspect was known to the victims and had been hanging out with them.
