A new controversy has erupted after new emails from Jeffrey Epstein’s estate were released by House Democrats, which show the President Donald Trump knew of Epstein’s sex trafficking operation. Now, an old post from Vice President J.D. Vance is making its rounds again adding fuel to the fire.

What is JD Vance Old Warning

It was back in December 2021 that J.D. Vance posted an incendiary message online “What possible interest would the US government have in keeping Epstein’s clients secret? Oh.” He continued to lambast journalists for failing to delve further into the question, demanding accountability as to why powerful people weren’t being held accountable.

Epstein’s Claims in the Spotlight

The Oversight Committee emails that were made public include three key correspondences. In one, Epstein describes Trump as “that dog that hasn’t barked,” alleging that a victim spent “hours at my house” with him.

In another from 2019, Epstein wrote to author Michael Wolff that Trump “of course … knew about the girls as he asked Ghislaine to stop.”

Fact Check: White House Pushback

The White House immediately pushed back, calling the leak a politically motivated smear. Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt accused Democrats of cherry-picking emails to tarnish Trump’s reputation.

Leavitt also pointed out that Epstein had long been expelled from Trump’s Mar-a-Lago club for troubling behavior.

How is the Political Ripple Effect

For Democrats, those emails are a rallying cry proof, they say, that questions remain unanswered. Rep. Robert Garcia, a top Democrat on the Oversight Committee, called on a full public release of Epstein’s files, calling the latest dossier and damning.  Meanwhile, some Republicans counter that Democrats are exploiting Epstein’s name to score political points.

Renewed scrutiny casts long shadows over Trump’s legacy and Vance’s earlier warnings feel eerily prescient. Whether these accusations will lead to public accountability or political headlines, one thing is clear with the Epstein saga is far from over.
