James Comey is the former FBI director, recently appeared in federal court sitting at Alexandria, Virginia on Wednesday (October 8) where he pleaded not guilty to the charges brought against him. The indictment, interpreted by many as political charges, result from Comey’s testimony before the Senate Judiciary Committee in 2020. In this new development, Comey and former President Donald Trump lock horns again as the latter had pressured the Department of Justice to prosecute Comey.
Who is James Comey?
James Brien Comey is an eminent American lawyer who served as the seventh director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation during the time that he was in charge from 2013 to 2017 until President Trump terminated him prior to the FBI, he had made quite a name for himself in federal law enforcement and worked on some high-profile prosecutions such as the Gambino crime family. What’s the Allegation Against Comey?
