A Connecticut couple was arrested after they were reported to have carried out a sex act in the presence of children aboard a flight from New York to Florida. The couple was on JetBlue Flight 163 aboard their way to Sarasota-Bradenton International Airport on Saturday, July 19, court records reported by WWSB.
The two men, Trista Reilly (43) and Christopher Drew Arnold (42), were observed committing the act by a mother and two children, who promptly reported to a flight attendant. The crew memebr also witnessed Reilly 'making up-and-down movements with her head while she was face down on Mr Arnold's lap', according to the official report.
The authorities indicate the mother was shocked by what her children witnessed and alerted airline attendants in mid-air. In her testimony, she added that 'they didn't stop' even when they became aware the children were observing.
The behavior of the pair was presumed to be a bid to become members of the so-called 'mile high club' since they were openly indulging in intimate acts onboard the flight from New York to Sarasota.
Reilly and Arnold were arrested around 11:30 am when the flight arrived in Florida. Both were charged with lewd or lascivious exposure in front of children, which is a serious crime in Florida.
The couple served time in custody before being released from jail on Monday. They will be arraigned in court on August 15.
