‘Bondi Doing Fantastic Job’: Trump Defends Bondi, Hits Back at MAGA Critics Over Epstein Files

Trump defends Pam Bondi over Epstein files backlash, insists “nobody cares” as DOJ memo causes cracks in MAGA inner circle.

US President Donald Trump strongly defended his Attorney General, Pam Bondi, on Saturday, brushing aside growing criticism over her handling of the Epstein files. In a lengthy TruthSocial post, Trump claimed “nobody cares” about the infamous case involving the late financier and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. The president’s post attempted to rally MAGA supporters around Bondi, whose role has come under fire from both critics and allies.

Trump’s statement comes amid deepening cracks in his inner circle. With federal agencies clashing over the Epstein memo and speculation rising over key resignations, the president’s unified front is beginning to show strain.

“Nobody Cares About Epstein,” says Trump

In his nearly 400-word social media post, Trump praised Bondi for doing a “FANTASTIC JOB” and criticized what he called selfish infighting. “What’s going on with my ‘boys’ and, in some cases, ‘gals?’” he wrote. “They’re all going after Attorney General Pam Bondi, who is doing a FANTASTIC JOB!”

The president added, “We have a PERFECT Administration, THE TALK OF THE WORLD, and ‘selfish people’ are trying to hurt it, all over a guy who never dies, Jeffrey Epstein.”

Tensions Within the MAGA Inner Circle

According to CNN, Trump continues to support Bondi even in private conversations, though some of his staunchest allies have begun to question her leadership. Some insiders have reportedly reached out to Bondi’s most vocal critics, urging them to soften their stance.

Deputy FBI Director Dan Bongino is reportedly considering resignation over the dispute between the FBI and DOJ. Bongino’s absence from work on Friday has only intensified speculation about internal discord.

Right-Wing Outrage and Public Criticism

The DOJ memo, which stated that Epstein died by suicide and did not maintain a client list, has triggered a wave of outrage from the MAGA camp. Prominent voices like Laura Loomer have called for Bondi’s removal. Former Fox News host Tucker Carlson accused Bondi of covering up “very serious crimes.”

Meanwhile, Axios reported that Bongino is growing increasingly frustrated. His potential departure would mark a major blow to the Trump administration’s law enforcement leadership.

Elon Musk, Redacted Files, and a Presidential Feud

Adding to the controversy, Tesla CEO Elon Musk previously claimed that Trump’s name appeared in redacted Epstein court documents. Though he quickly deleted the tweet, the moment fueled tensions between Musk and Trump, former allies turned rivals.

This new wave of scrutiny comes at a politically sensitive time. Trump’s effort to shield Bondi and dismiss the Epstein controversy may hold his base for now — but ongoing resignations and public infighting signal growing instability in his camp.
