9/11 in 2001 and that incident went a long way to determine the course of history. Beyond the facts of that day, several predictions and interpretations have emerged with time, and the public continues to fuel controversy.
On September 11, 2001, and synonymous with 9/11 referring to a number of coordinated terrorist attacks perpetrated by the extremist organization al-Qaeda upon the USA. The Four commercial airliners broke from their normal routes and crashed against important American landmarks, New York's Twin Towers of the World Trade Center and the Pentagon near Washington, D.C. The act of terror killed more people than any other single incident in American history and influenced the world and thus setting in motion the U.S. led War on Terror.
9/11 is the allegation that the animated television family The Simpsons predicted the event many years before it happened. One scene from Season 9, Episode 3 "The City of New York vs. Homer Simpson", which aired in 1997 showed a promo brochure advertising New York at a cost of $9, with an image that resembles the Twin Towers aligned next to the number 9 and would seem to visually suggest a reading of 9/11. This coincidence blew up on social media and spread rumors of a prophetic prediction.

The show's producers made it clear that it was in fact a coincidence. It had to be explained as priced for jokes and had no deliberate foreshadowing of the unfortunate event. This prophecy is short of evidence that would be concrete to call it more than random chance and creative interpretation.
Baba Vanga is a Bulgarian mystic known for her cryptic prophecies she is often cited with reference to 9/11 due to a creepy declaration she made in 1989. The report relates that she said "Horror, horror! The American brethren will fall after being attacked by the steel birds. The wolves will be howling in a bush and innocent blood will be gushing."
This have since taken to meaning steel birds to refer to the hijacked planes while American brethren has been ascribed to refer to the Twin Towers, while the phrase "wolves howling in a bush" is suited to symbolize the U.S. response under the regime of President George W. Bush. Of course, such predictions are general and somewhat vague and with people interpreting them for their own interests.
The hijackers targeted four planes at point targets after United Airlines Flight 175 and American Airlines Flight 11 crashed into the World Trade Center's North and South Towers in New York City.

American Airlines Flight 77 crashed into the Pentagon. A battle between passengers over control of the aircraft and United Airlines Flight 93 crashed on the ground in a Pennsylvanian field without landing at the White House.
9/11 in total number of dead persons reached 2,977 excluding the 19 hijackers. Among the dead were all 246 passengers and crew aboard the four planes. Approximately 2,606 people who were inside or near the Twin Towers at that time and 125 persons at the Pentagon.
The youngest victim was that of two years old Christine Lee Hanson the oldest was 82 year-old Robert Norton. The attacks left anguish that no one can fathom into altered lives for families worldwide.

The Twin Towers Collapses created huge clouds of dust and debris over Manhattan and leaving a permanent mark on the skyline of the city and in the collective memory.
