A celebration after a popular music festival in downtown Los Angeles turned into a tragedy when a shooting broke out, killing two people and injuring six others.

Celebration Turns Into Chaos at Downtown Warehouse

The incident happened during the early hours of Monday morning inside a warehouse, which was hosting an unofficial after-party. What began as a festive night ended in horror.

The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) said they were first alerted just before 11 p.m. on Sunday, after receiving reports about an armed man entering the building. Officers arrived and broke up the large gathering, arresting one suspect at the time.

But just a few hours later, the situation got worse.

Party Linked to Music Festival

The party had been promoted online as an after-party for the Hard Summer music festival, which had taken place over the weekend in Inglewood, nearly nine miles from the site of the shooting.

Despite the earlier police visit, gunshots rang out around 1 a.m. Police returned to the warehouse to find one man already dead and several others injured. One of the wounded, a woman, later died in the hospital.

Victims Taken to Hospital, Identities Not Yet Public

According to the Associated Press, six people were taken to hospital for treatment. Police have not yet shared details about their conditions. A local resident told KABC-TV that his 29-year-old son was among the injured.

No Motive or Suspects Confirmed Yet

As of Monday morning, no suspect has been named, and the motive remains unclear. Police stayed at the scene to gather evidence and reconstruct the timeline of events.

The LAPD urged the public to assist, saying “anyone with information” about the shooting should come forward.
