As reported by The Times of Israel, US President Joe Biden claimed on Sunday that Hamas is attacking Israel by using defenseless Palestinian families as human shields. According to him, the vast majority of Palestinians support Hamas.
Speaking at a gala dinner for the Human Rights Campaign in Washington, Biden said, “The humanitarian crisis in Gaza, innocent Palestinian families, and the vast majority have nothing to do with Hamas.”
“They’re being used as human shields,” he added.
Biden claimed that the terror attack launched by Hamas was the bloodiest day for Jews since the Holocaust and that the Hamas terror organisation had used Palestinian civilians as human shields to avoid Israeli reprisals, according to The Times of Israel.
The report stated that the President discussed his personal experiences, such as losing his first wife and daughter in a car accident in 1972, during an hour-long conversation he had the day before with the families of Americans who are still missing on Zoom. “They’ve suffered in silence, unable to understand what’s going on. Though it’s not exactly the same, I can describe it to you. “Losing someone you know you’re going to lose is one thing, like I was able to do with my son,” Biden remarked. Since the start of the Israel-Hamas conflict on October 7, the US has pledged its full support to Israel in its conflict with Hamas and shown strong solidarity with the Israeli people.
