
Prince George, 12, is being quietly prepared for kingship, with Eton plans and early royal duties, and is 'undoubtedly aware' of his future role, says historian Marlene Koenig.
Prince William and Kate Middleton’s eldest Prince. George is already being prepared for the day he will ascend the British throne. Reportedly, George attend UK‘s most prestigious schools, Eton college, just like his father did.
The mail on Sunday is ‘ all roads lead to Eton’. It also mentioned a sense of smugness after Prince and Princess of Wales, visited the school.
“It was like, 'I know something and the people at Eton know something, but I'm not going to tell you.' That was after William and Kate visited Eton,” a source told the newspaper.
Royal historian, Marlene Koenig mentioned in the US weekly that Prince Georges coronation is decades away. She explained that he is second in line as his father is the apparent heir and his grandfather is the king.

Koenig said that the Prince George is 'undoubtedly aware' of his duties. He understood his future role more prominently after the death of Queen Elizabeth II in September 2022. She asserted that this was the time when George completely understood the responsibilities waiting for him.
"I also voted the George stepped into an important role during King Charles III’s coronation ceremony." She said that even if the prince was nervous, he didn’t show it.
