Because of Kohli’s profile and the alleged incidents that took place on BBC property, the issue has garnered public attention. All six charges are denied by Kohli. The trial is set for November and will hear multiple witnesses.

Allegations Against Kohli

At Glasgow Sheriff Court, prosecutors outlined allegations that span almost a decade. One incident reportedly took place at BBC Scotland’s headquarters at Pacific Quay, Glasgow. Kohli allegedly grabbed a woman’s buttocks and hugged her without consent.

Kohli’s defence has lodged a special defence of consent on this charge.

In a separate incident, Kohli allegedly assaulted a third woman at the former Yes Bar in Glasgow city centre. He is accused of hugging her, seizing her, and kissing her on the mouth. In addition, he faces charges of disorderly conduct and breach of peace linked to the same occasion.

Court Preparations & Trial Outlook

Kohli’s lawyer, Urfan Dar, confirmed the defence is ready for trial. The hearing is expected to last four to five days. The prosecution will call seven civilian witnesses and one police witness to support its case.
