New Delhi [India]: The UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, is scheduled to visit India from Wednesday evening for a three-day trip. His visit aims to deepen the strategic partnership between India and the UAE through high-level engagements.

  1. Strategic Dialogue Meeting: Sheikh Abdullah will join Indian External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar in reviewing the bilateral strategic partnership at the India-UAE Strategic Dialogue.
  2. Joint Commission Meeting: The UAE leader will also participate in the Joint Commission meeting, discussing cooperation across sectors like trade, investment, and culture.
  3. Meeting with PM Modi: Sheikh Abdullah is expected to call on Prime Minister Narendra Modi to further solidify the ties between the two nations.

The friendship between India and the UAE is rooted in centuries-old cultural and economic interactions. Diplomatic relations were officially established in 1972, with the UAE opening its embassy in India the same year, followed by the Indian embassy in UAE in 1973.
