Trump Rally Shooting In Pennsylvania: FBI Leads Investigation

Former President Donald Trump narrowly avoided injury during a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, when gunfire erupted among the crowd on Sunday. Trump, visibly shaken but unhurt, was quickly evacuated to safety following the incident.

Reports indicate that the FBI identified the shooter as acting alone, resulting in the death of at least one attendee and injuries to two others. Trump mentioned being grazed by a bullet on his right ear during the chaotic event, though he reassured the public of his condition, stating he was undergoing medical evaluation and confirmed he was “fine.”

The FBI has taken over the investigation, asserting its role as the lead federal law enforcement agency in the case. Steven Cheung, a spokesperson for Trump, expressed thanks to law enforcement and emergency responders for their swift response. The Secret Service also confirmed the incident and affirmed ongoing active investigation while confirming Trump’s safety.

President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris condemned the violence, expressing relief that Trump was not seriously hurt and offering prayers for those affected. Biden called for national unity in response to such incidents, while Harris stressed the importance of unequivocally rejecting such acts to prevent their recurrence.

Former President Barack Obama also denounced the shooting, emphasizing the importance of civil discourse and offering wishes for Trump’s swift recovery.
