Trump Claims Google CEO Praised His McDonald’s Visit Amid Campaign Stop

In a recent episode of the Joe Rogan podcast, U.S. Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump claimed that Google CEO Sundar Pichai called him to praise his recent visit to a McDonald’s in Pennsylvania. “I did McDonald’s last week, and I got a call from Sundar,” Trump said. According to Trump, Pichai referred to the visit as a significant event, reportedly saying, “This is the biggest thing we’ve had in years.”

Trump went on to describe Pichai as a “great guy” who, he said, acknowledged the viral nature of his visit, telling him, “This McDonald’s thing… it just hit.”

Background: Trump’s McDonald’s Visit and Campaign Strategy

Trump’s stop at McDonald’s was a part of his campaign strategy in Pennsylvania, aimed at drawing a contrast with his Democratic opponent, Vice President Kamala Harris. Working briefly at the restaurant’s French fry station, Trump donned an apron and served customers, later quipping that he had worked “15 minutes more than [Harris]” at McDonald’s.

He alleged that Harris had misrepresented her past, claiming to have worked at McDonald’s when she was young. “She lied about McDonald’s,” Trump stated, adding that he found no evidence of her employment at the chain. He claimed, “The manager said she’d never worked there.”

The incident also follows Trump’s previous remarks accusing Google of filtering search results about him.
