Several injured in knife attack in Paris; suspect neutralized

In a knife attack on Wednesday, several people were injured at the Paris Gare du Nord train station.

Meanwhile, French rail operator Societe Nationale des Chemins de fer Francais (SNCF) tweeted, the dangerous person was neutralized by the police as the police opened fire on the accused. In the attack, several people were wounded and the attack was confirmed by Interior Minister Gerard Darmanin.

“The traffic is disrupted at the departure and arrival (areas) of Paris Nord. The police seem to have opened fire against a dangerous person who injured travelers at Gare du Nord,” SNCF tweeted.

Moreover, the attacker was shot dead after the emergency services intervened and a security perimeter has been established and train services are working normally.

According to the media reports authorities did not reveal the number of people who are wounded but as per the media figure, six people are injured.

However, at the Gare du Nord station, a busy hub for commuters the attack was carried out after which major delays in the movement of the trains were seen.
