Romanian Foreign Minister Luminita Odobescu arrives in India for Raisina Dialogue 2024

Romanian Foreign Minister Luminita Odobescu arrived in India on Friday to participate in India’s flagship annual conference, the Raisina Dialogue, held in New Delhi. The Ministry of External Affairs welcomed the Romanian minister upon her arrival.

MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said, “Warm welcome to FM @Odobes1Luminita of Romania as she arrives in New Delhi for #RaisinaDialogue2024.”

Previously, on Thursday, Czech Republic’s Foreign Minister Jan Lipavsky arrived in New Delhi to participate in the Raisina Dialogue. Jaiswal posted, “FM @JanLipavsky of Czech Republic arrives to a warm welcome in New Delhi.”

The Raisina Dialogue is India’s premier conference on geopolitics and geoeconomics, focused on addressing the most pressing global challenges. The ninth edition of the dialogue began on Wednesday and concludes today, with the Ministry of External Affairs organizing it in collaboration with the Observer Research Foundation.

Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis is the Chief Guest and keynote speaker at the summit. He, along with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, inaugurated the Raisina Dialogue on Wednesday evening.

India and Romania share warm and friendly bilateral relations, with a mutual support on multilateral issues and cooperation at the UN. The establishment and strengthening of democracy in Romania since the 1989 Revolution have brought the two countries closer in terms of values and aspirations. Foreign Office Consultations have been established to review bilateral relations.
