Congress leader Rahul Gandhi expressed his deep concern and condemnation over the attempted assassination of former US President Donald Trump at a rally in Pennsylvania. In a post on X, Gandhi emphasized that such violent acts must be unequivocally condemned.

The incident occurred when Trump was shot in the ear during the rally. The assailant was shot and killed by a Secret Service agent. Trump, despite being injured, was not seriously harmed and shared his account of the incident on Truth Social, mentioning that the bullet pierced the upper part of his right ear.

The former president was immediately escorted off the stage by Secret Service agents and taken to a local medical facility for evaluation. The shooting, which took place about seven minutes into the rally, was captured live on several news channels. Videos of the incident showed Trump bleeding from his ear and being quickly surrounded by Secret Service agents.
