Pakistan: Mother denies request for phone, Son hangs himself

A 12-year-old boy reportedly took his own life in Raiwind city after his mother denied his request for a mobile phone according to police officials, as reported by ARY News.

As per Lahore police, Ayyan requested his mother for the phone, but she refused and went to a neighbor’s house.

Upon her return, she found her son’s body hanging from the ceiling. It seemed that the boy had used a rope tied to a bamboo pole on the wall to end his life, as per ARY News.

At the same time, authorities have initiated an investigation into the matter and are collecting evidence at the site.

This unfortunate event comes after another recent suicide in Mughalpura, Lahore, where a 33-year-old female doctor, Bushra Suhail, allegedly took her own life following a heated argument with her mother on March 27.

As per her sister Rabia, Bushra locked herself in her room following the argument, and later she was discovered hanging from a ceiling fan, as reported by ARY News.
