Israel Plans to Undo The Effects of Gaza War by Investing Millions into Businesses

Israel is planning to invest millions of dollars in a move to undo the effects of the Gaza war and help strengthen businesses. This plan will see investments of approximately $17 million.

Israel’s Ministry of Economy and Industry is finalising an investment program to support and strengthen businesses near the Lebanese border. The plan will see an investment of approximately $17.6 million in the region.

Israel is Investing Millions in Businesses

Under this investment program, 60 million Shekels, equivalent to 17.6 million USD, will be invested in businesses near the Lebanese border. This program aims to support and strengthen business activity in the region.

This move is part of a larger plan by Israel with a total scope of approximately 610 million Shekels, equivalent to USD 179 million. The program, which has been approved by the government, is Israel’s step towards aiding businesses in the north that are affected by the war.   

Israel Aims to Undo the Effects of Gaza War

This investment program, which will see a total investment of approximately $179 million in businesses, is aimed at undoing the effects of the Gaza war. It allows businesses to seek investment of up to 50% and prioritises businesses falling in the industrial sector. It’s aimed at helping eligible businesses acquire fixed assets that help them return to their level of productivity before the commencement of the Gaza war.

Current State of the Gaza War

The war between Israel and Hamas, also referred to as the “Iron Swords” war, was declared by Israel against Hamas in response to the surprise attack launched by Hamas on October 7th 2023.  

Ever since the war began, thousands of people have lost their lives, with reports showing a total death count of over 60,000 people. The war has also sparked discussions around the globe, with several people coming forward to choose sides.

Israel Moves Forward to Capture Gaza

The Israeli government announced plans to acquire all of Gaza City with its “preliminary actions” already in motion. As per reports, 60,000 reservists are being called up ahead of Israel’s move to take over the city of Gaza.

On Wednesday, Israel’s military spokesman Effie Defrin told reporters, “We have begun the preliminary actions and the initial stages of the offensive on Gaza City, and already now IDF forces are holding positions on the outskirts of Gaza City.”

He also added that the Israeli military plans to intensify the attacks on the city that is the “stronghold” of the terrorist organisation Hamas. 

“We will intensify the strikes on Hamas in Gaza City, the political and military stronghold of the terror organization,” he said.
