Indian states to raise 2.82 trillion rupees through debt in current quarter, RBI says

Oct 3 (Reuters) – Indian states will likely borrow 2.82 trillion rupees ($31.76 billion) via debt in the October-December quarter, the Reserve Bank of India said on Friday. The states have borrowed 5 trillion rupees through debt sales in the first six months of the financial year ending March 2026.
