House of Lords member criticises BBC documentary on PM Modi

Lord Rami Ranger, a prominent member of the House of Lords of the UK Parliament, said on Friday that the BBC documentary on Prime Minister Narendra Modi is “unfortunate, ill-timed, and ill-informed,” based on the narratives of a handful of people who want to show him in a bad light.
In an interview, Lord Rami Ranger also slammed George Soros over his remarks on the Hindenburg-Adani row and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, saying the billionaire Hungarian-American investor has been an “attention seeker.” He said the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) should not throw a spanner in the works of the growing relationship between India and the UK.
He was referring to the Supreme Court’s decision to uphold the Special Investigation Team’s (SIT) exoneration of then-Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi in the 2002 riots case. Lord Rami Ranger CBE, Baron of Mayfair, House of Lords, said he had written to BBC earlier over the documentary.
