Prince Harry made an unannounced trip to Ukraine on Friday to show support for soldiers injured in the ongoing conflict with Russia.
Ukrainian Railways confirmed that Harry arrived in Kyiv early Friday morning on an overnight train. The railway tweeted a video of his arrival at the capital platform, stating on social media, “Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex, arrived by train in Kyiv to witness firsthand the devastation caused by Russia’s all-out invasion.”

Recent Family Reunion
Earlier this week, Harry traveled to Britain and met his father King Charles III in person for the first time in almost two years. Prince Harry, 40 and turning 41 on Monday, has been all but estranged from the Royal Family since he stepped back from formal duties and moved to California with wife Meghan in 2020.
Harry’s visit underscores both his individual dedication to the Invictus Games’ ideals and his identification with victims of the war, even as he must balance complicated relationships with the British royal family.
