Turkey’s Transport Minister Abdulkadir Uraloglu was slammed with a fine for crossing the speed limit on a highway. He was found to be over-speeding at 225 km/h on the Ankara-Nigde highway, which is double the speed limit. A video of the incident was posted online on Sunday.
The clip was set to folk music, featured President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s speech praising the government infrastructure while showing Uraloglu’s speedometer rising as he overtakes other vehicles in the fast lane.

However, the apology could not stop the critics. One person argued, “If someone who sets the rules on the highway breaks the rule, they should resign immediately.”
