Weird theories around Russian President Vladimir Putin float over the internet from time to time. One such theory is based on his ‘poop’ gas been resurfacing online during his visit to Alaska to meet US President Donald Trump on Saturday. The high-stakes summit had little progress without any announcement of a ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine.
Putin arrived at the military base for the high-profile meeting on Friday; however, the attention quickly shifted to bizarre reports that suggest that his security teams collect his bodily waste!

Putin’s Poop Reportedly Collected!
The theory originate in a 2022 Paris Match report where investigative journalists Regis Gente and Mikhail Rubin claimed that Putin’s Federal Protection Service (FPS) secretly collects his urine and feces and delivers it back to Russia, whenever he travels abroad.
The report stated, “Among the cohort accompanying Vladimir Putin abroad, one person is tasked with collecting his natural excrement and taking it to Moscow. All of it. This is the clue, which has gone unnoticed, that his excrement and urine contain vital information… for the future of the world.”

Carried in Pouches, Sealed in a Suitcase
As per the report, the waste is carried in specifically designed pouches which are then locked in a suitcase and transported back to Moscow for disposal under tight security. Embassy staff are forced to stay silent to maintain ‘absolute secrecy’. The practice was first noticed during Putin’s France trip in 2017 and Saudi Arabia in 2019.
An ex-BBC journalist, Farida Rustamova, supported the claim and noted that Putin uses portable toilets abroad, including during a visit to Vienna. She said that the practice could be taking place since 1999.

Health Issues?
The secrecy has raised speculations about Putin’s health, with unconfirmed claims of him having conditions such as cancer or Parkinson’s disease. Last year, Putin seemed restless and fidgety during a press conference, adding fuel to the speculations.
Although these claims are not confirmed and lack solid evidence, they resurface whenever the Russian president travels abroad.
