Tesla CEO Elon Musk plans to donate $45 million a month to a new super political-action committee that is supporting former President Donald Trump’s campaign for the presidency, while other investors include the co-founder of Palantir Technologies, Joe Lonsdale, the Winklevoss twins, the former United States Ambassador to Canada, Kelly Craft, and her husband Joe Craft, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Alliance Resource Partners.

America PAC was formed in June to register people to vote, push early voting, and get mail-in ballots out within battleground states. Significantly, they pointed to the strong “get out the vote” organization that Democrats have been building and the big money that the Biden campaign is putting into ground efforts in states that matter. But those efforts on the ground will be countered by the America PAC. Now, according to The Wall Street Journal, Musk has committed an inordinate amount to America PAC. Currently, he is the richest person in the world, with an estimated fortune of over USD 250 billion.

America PAC has been registering voters, attending to constituents in swing states, and pushing for mail-in ballot requests. According to sources, the super PAC reported USD 8.75 million in contributions for the three months ending June 30. Elon Musk indicated that his donations would begin in July.
