Following the explosion in bustling streets of Istanbul, a bombing suspect has been arrested. According Turkey’s interior minister Suleyman Soylu, the person is suspected to have planted the bomb.
Soylu accused the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) of causing the bomb attack. “According to our findings, the PKK terrorist organisation is responsible,” he said. Along with the person who suspected to have planted the bomb, police detained 21 other suspects.
Six people died and 81 other got injured when the blast hit the streets of pedestrian thoroughfare İstiklal Avenue.
