Biden’s special envoy is in Dhaka

US President Joe Biden’s Special Envoy for Religious Freedom Rashad Hossain is is in Dhaka now. He arrived in Dhaka on Sunday for a four-day visit. Responsible diplomatic sources have confirmed this information. According to sources, Hossain will visit Cox’s Bazar Rohingya camp after his arrival in Dhaka.

Cox’s Bazar, he will hold a meeting with State Minister for Foreign Affairs Shahriar Alam and State Minister for Religion Faridul Haque Khan. Besides, Hossain will exchange views with representatives of different levels of government and nongovernment persons. He will address a seminar at the auditorium of Bangladesh Institute of International and Strategic Studies (BISS).

This year, Hossain was appointed special envoy of the President of the United States for religious freedom. Earlier, former US President Barack Obama had appointed him as a special envoy to the OIC.
