BUENOS AIRES, Oct 8 (Reuters) – An Argentine court on Wednesday sentenced two people to prison for attempting to assassinate Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner in 2022, when she was serving as vice president. Fernando Sabag was sentenced to 10 years and Brenda Uliarte to 8 years. The attack on Cristina, one of Argentina's most prominent political figures of the past two decades, shocked the nation and drew widespread international condemnation. She is currently under house arrest in a separate corruption case. (Reporting by Lucila Sigal; Editing by Chizu Nomiyama )
